Sanitation & Hygienic Design Specialist
CIP Concepts, LLC 's business objective is to provide technical and operational support for sanitation programs and hygienic design for food processing facilities and equipment. Our focus is to work with our clients to minimize food safety risks, improve product quality and shelf life and maximize sanitation efficiency and effectiveness. Our expertise in sanitation requirements extend across a broad range of food processing establishments regulated by FDA, USDA and FSIS.
We provide guidance and specifications for hygienic design for new facilities construction and new equipment procurement, this includes materials of construction, hygienic design specification, traffic flow and utility requirements. For existing operations we can audit both the facilities and processing equipment for gaps between current hygienic design conditions and best practices. Additionally, providing recommendations for maintenance and modifications or specialized sanitation procedures to compensate for the design weakness.
Larry Hanson is the founder and principal associate of CIP Concepts, LLC. His experience in engineering, equipment fabrication, sanitation and business management provides an unique approach that balances food safety risks, quality, engineering functionality and business efficiency. For over thirty-five years he has worked extensively in the field of cleaning, sanitation, CIP, and hygienic design of equipment and facilities.
Larry is a graduate mechanical engineer from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; with the following professional certifications and affiliations:
· SQF Institute - Certified SQF Practitioner
· International HACCP Alliance - Certification in HACCP
· Charter member - AWS D18 Committee for sanitary welding
· Active member of 3-A Sanitary Standards Education Committee
